OpenBSD

OpenBSD.org - The OpenBSD project produces a FREE, multi-platform 4.4BSD-based UNIX-like operating system. Our efforts emphasize portability, standardization, correctness, proactive security and integrated cryptography.

OpenBSD Journal - deadly.org is a news site for the OpenBSD operating system.

GeodSoft Hardening OpenBSD - This tutorial (http://geodsoft.com/howto/harden/) on how-to harden or improve security on OpenBSD Internet servers includes sections that apply to any UNIX system. Hardening is making a computer more secure by removing unneeded functions, restricting access and tracking changes and processes.

NetBSD

NetBSD.org - NetBSD is a free, secure, and highly portable UNIX-like operating system available for many platforms, from 64-bit AlphaServers and desktop systems to handheld and embedded devices. NetBSD currently works on over 50 different platforms.


FreeBSD

FreeBSD.org - FreeBSD is an advanced operating system for x86 compatible, DEC Alpha, IA-64, PC-98 and UltraSPARC architectures. It is derived from BSD UNIX, the version of UNIX developed at the University of California, Berkeley.
